Turnaround Time

Harvard University Fellowship Project Turnaround Time arose in the year 2000-2001 from the creative work of Inga McCaslin Frick and Gillian Brown in conjunction with our team.

It is an interactive video installation. On entering a darkened room the viewer's attention is drawn to look at images in the darkness ahead. When the viewer's vision is directed toward the front, a projection starts up behind. Colorful moving images are projected behind the viewer. However, as the viewer turns around to see what is happening behind them, the projected images immediately fade away. The rear projections reappear again only after the viewer turns forward.

Turnaround Time The creation of this artwork was supported by BioID's face detection technology, which made it possible to determine the viewer's focus of attention.
